Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider™ Spirit of Vengeance. In this gritty new vision for the character, directed by Neveldine/Taylor (Crank), Johnny is still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter – but he may risk everything as he teams up with the leader of a group of rebel monks (Idris Elba) to save a young boy from the devil… and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.
Johnny Blaze went to Eastern Europe to hide. He believes that his power is a curse. He then meets Moreau (Idris Elba) who is a member of a monastic order of Michael. Moreau then choose Johnny Blaze to became the protector of a mother and a son who is being pursued by Carrigan/Blackout. Blaze then is called to stop the Devil (Ciaran Hinds) who is trying to take human form by taking the boy’s body on his birthday. Roarke (Johnny Whitworth) was transformed into Blackout by the Devil to do a specific task. Maybe to retrieve the boy and to stop the Ghost Rider.
A peaceful planet governed by the young, elusive, but wise Queen Amidala is being threatened by the corrupt Trade Federation, puppets of an evil Sith lord and his terrifying apprentice, Darth Maul . The seemingly benevolent Senator Palpatine is chief advisor to the queen, though there are suspicions surrounding him. Jedi knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are called on to intervene in the trade disputes. Along the way, they acquire an apprentice of their own in the form of young prodigal Anakin Skywalker. They also encounter Jar Jar Binks, a goofy, lizardlike creature who has been banished from his underwater world for his clumsiness. When the Trade Federation launches an attack on Naboo, the queen and her allies must battle hordes of robot troopers while Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan face off against the sinister Darth Maul.
